Has been drawn, sketched, a work of art
on pieces of tissue paper
The paper was red, I dyed it myself
Do you like it?
If not i'll store it on the shelf

I promised you this a long time ago
this paper tissue heart
I prepped, picked, fussed and now its finally yours

See the scratches?
You can't because there aren't any
I've gone through a lot of tissue paper
to make you my fancy, little, red paper heart

So will you take it... please just take it
Through it away, discard it, rip it up if you please
Just take it, please take it.. I lost a lot finding that shade of red
Doesn't it suit you well? I Hope it does..

Today I made you a paper heart, it took me a lot
Oh but please don't think you have to keep it just because of that!

Give it to another that you think might like the shade of red
